FAQs

Can I workout from home?

Of course! You'll get a dumbbell programme which is perfect for at home or at the gym, this has live follow along videos so you can do every rep with me and we also have a library of bodyweight workouts too!

I'm going on holiday - how do I get in my workouts and steps?

Holidays are to be enjoyed, if exercising and staying active on holiday is something you love to do then go for it, but you don't NEED to stay on track when you're on holiday. If you want to manage your holiday habits so as not to set yourself back, I have educational content within the app about how to do this.

What if I can't do all the exercises?

You may find the workouts and some of the movements challenging, all you have to do is look for the alternatives given on the workout description. If you aren't sure on your technique please submit videos of you completing the movement to me and I'll help fix your form! Lots of the members do this and it works brilliantly for them!

I've got an injury - can I still join?

If you've been cleared by your doctor and/or physio, yes you can join and avoid movements that they have advised you to avoid.

I'm pregnant - can I still join?

Yes!! I work with lots of pregnant women at the moment. Our workouts are safe for pregnancy and will help you stay strong and fit while your baby is growing! Make sure to look out for the alternatives given in the workout description though!

How long will the workouts take?

Most of the workouts take 45-60 minutes to complete, but in the workout library you will find shorter ones if you are tight on time!

Do I have to take progress photos / who can see them?

You don't have to take progress photos, but it's a really good move if you do! It's so hard for you to see your progress day to day, looking back at photos allows you to see how far you have come!

The members who don't take them often regret it! So although you might not feel great about yourself now, it's a start point that's all. No need to judge or critique them, take them, upload them then don't look at them again. I usually suggest taking photos every 4-8 weeks.

If you upload your photos to the app I can see them, but nobody else can. I will NOT share your photos without explicit permission. They're for you, not for anyone else, so your nudes will not end up on the gram unless you want them too!!

Where / when do I check-in?

Each Sunday morning I will send you a check in form on the Lift & Glow coaching app. It's a link to a google form, all you have to do is answer the questions as honestly as possible so then I can help.

Is there a minimum membership term?

We don't tie anyone into a contract, we want you to be a member because you love it!! So there's no minimum term, but we suggest to everyone to give the programme at least 12 weeks before you decide to try something else. Results won't happen overnight, 12 weeks is long enough to see some real change.

When will I start to see results?

This depends on where you're at now and what your goal is. For muscle growth, we need to give it time and I'm talking about months... For weight loss you should see small losses within a couple of weeks but the big changes will come the longer you stick at it.

Ultimately, it's down to the work you put in. This programme works, there is no doubt about it. Your results are down to you following through with what you need to do.

Do I get a meal plan?

I don’t write tailored meal plans, because this doesn’t teach you how to live your normal, enjoyable life while getting results - it only tells you how to follow the meal plan. I give example meal plans and then educate you on how to make your diet work for you.

The best diet is one that you can stick to, most people never stick to meal plans long term therefore they don’t work for long term results. You’re going to learn how to create your own diet that works for you, that you can sustain long term so that your results finally last!

Do I have to track calories?

It’s up to you, tracking calories is an excellent way to learn about nutrition and is the fastest way to build a way of eating that works for you. But it’s not for everyone, there are other ways we can monitor your food intake. You’ll also get a lot of education around nutrition and portion control. Not tracking calories can mean that things take a little longer, but you can definitely still reach your goals without tracking.

Can I drink alcohol?

There's nothing off the table, you can drink alcohol but I do advise to try and limit alcohol to once a week if you can. When you join there is educational content about how to find a better balance with alcohol including what drinks to choose and how to plan your week around your social life.

Do I need to buy protein powder?

You don't need to, but you can if you want. It's really helpful for people who struggle to hit their protein target. However it's not essential you can get your protein from other sources.

Does this plan work for vegetarians / vegans?

Yes, with my help you're going to learn how to create a diet that works best for you. This way you'll sustain it long term and so get long term results! So no matter what your dietary requirements the plan will work.

Do you set carb and fat goals?

I don't set specific carb and fat goals, I will give you a calorie and protein goal only. This is because both low carb and low fat diets will work. The main thing is that we create a calorie deficit and have sufficient protein. Some people really enjoy a higher fat diet, others prefer higher carbs and for some people like me, it changes every day. Not having a set carb and fat goal allows you flexibility and also you won't waste energy on things that don't make a big impact. You'll be able to focus on what's most important, which is calories and protein.
